Luzern Micro-Exfoliant (6 oz / 180 ml)
It is important to use an exfoliator 2-3 times a week to control the build-up of dead surface skin cells. A buildup of dead surface skin cells dulls the appearance of your skin. The secret to beauty is to first achieve well-hydrated skin.
My Skin Concerns:
At the age of 23, I endure an occasional break-out here and there with normal to combination skin from the stress of my life-style. My T-zone cries out during the summer and settles down during the cold months. As temperature drops with each passing day, the winter introduces dehydrated skin that needs more care and attention.
What I love about the Luzern Micro-Exfoliant:
Not only does this product polishes my skin, but the Micro-Exfoliant brightens my skin and gives it a soft finishing glow after each wash. It cleans my pores without further irritation and rehydrates the skin after a stressful day. During the colder months, the dry patches are kept under control with regular exfoliation.
Even better, Luzern Micro-Exfoliant uses organic botanicals and is free of harmful ingredients like natural preservatives, Parabens or Sulfates.
Wake your skin up and pamper yourself with the Luzern Micro-Exfoliant.

Lily.B Ultra Eye Cream
I love this eye cream.
I’ve only had it for a day and I’m in love with it. It smells amazing and it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. I could see a difference after using the eye cream for one day. You feel refreshed immediately after application.
I have super sensitive skin and super dehydrated skin, but it did not irritate my eyes and it hydrates really well.
Also love how this line of products does not use harsh chemicals in the ingredients.
To use: Use the ring finger to apply in the morning and at night.

We all get hurt. We all get scars. Sometimes they form in unwanted locations.

Normal scars develop within 48 hours after the wound closes and should fade within 3 months.

However, the longer it takes, the greater the chance of a noticeable scar. So here are the 4 Keys to Perfect Scar Recovery:

  1. Anti-Inflammation
Reduce further scar formation and aids comfort.
  2. Hydration
Dehydrated skin is less elastic, more fragile, and more susceptible to breakdown.
  3. Collagen Remodeling
Proper collagen remodeling induces new collagen formation in optimal orientation for smoother skin texture and improved dermal elasticity.
  4. Sun Protection
Scars are particular sensitive to sunlight and can sunburn faster than healthy skin.Exposure can also cause tissue to thicken.

A particular note on Kelo-Cote:

Kelo-Cote Advanced Formula Scar Gel: reduces inflammation, hydrates, and reduces scar formation. It is one of the top-selling brands for scar management.

I’ve personally been testing out this product and it WORKS. You can get this at www.essentialdermcare.com. Right now they’re doing a promotion for 25% off, so I think it’s a really great deal~~

Do note, the sooner you use the gel (as soon as your wound has healed), the less visible your scars will be. This gel doesn’t work on months or years-old scars.

The other two products, SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex and SkinMedica Daily Physical Defense SPF 30, are essential to full recovery. Their formula is the best for scar recovery.

However, if you’re like me, fresh grad out of college, I would actually invest in the SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex and get Avene High Protection Mineral Cream SPF50.

But yes, the Kelo-Cote Advanced Formula Scar Gel…a must have.

Hope this helps!

Healthy skin is the basis to beauty, isn’t it. I’ve been testing out 3 products of Dr. Ci:Labo for the past 2 months.

  1. Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel (Super Sensitive) 50g
  2. Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel (BI-HA-KU) 50g
  3. Dr. Ci:Labo Hyaluronic Acid (Super Concentrated Serum)

I was recommended these products from an Asian botique store in Rowland Heights, California. The store lady gave me a sample of the product to try. I was a bit hesitant at first, so I bought the Super Sensitive Gel and the Serum. She gave me a free travel-size of the BI-HA-KU Gel, so I was actually able to test out 3 products.

Review:
The Super Sensitive Gel is truly for the super sensitive. No matter what condition my skin was in, this Gel never irritated my skin once. It is not as moisturizing as many other products that you may have used, but it smooths out my skin and retains whatever moisture my skin already has. It does not add extra moisture, so you don’t have to worry about extra shine.

The BI-HA-KU Gel (also known as Super Moisture Gel) provides more moisture to the skin, but if you are deathly dry all the time, this will not suffice. I think this Gel has a bit of whitening in the Gel itself, as I find my skin brighter after a month’s use. Surprisingly, this Gel is great with not irritating my hypersensitive skin. I highly recommend this product if you aren’t looking for a heavy cream. It leaves your skin silky smooth to the touch.

The Hyaluronic Acid was the best product out of the 3. It closes up my pores immediately after I wash my face. It is recommended that you keep this product in the fridge after opening. I actually love keep this product in the fridge, as it feels cool and fresh when you apply it after a face wash.

There you have it.

Fundamental Face Scrub.

Fundamental Earth: Face Scrub

Recently, I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on ingredients within hair products, body products, and food products.

I realize that certain products contain harmful ingredients that may not seem significant at the moment, but in the long run…it can create health problems.

We began with natural products. As the years go by, an increasing number of unrecognizable ingredients find their way into the products we use.

The worst news: companies don’t tell you their long-term side effects.

So..I’ve been testing certain natural products (legitly natural) to see how they compare with the products I’ve been using.

Fundamental Face Scrub contains none of the following: sodium lauryl sulfate, triethanolamine, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium PEG 7, propylene glycol, glocyl stearate, artifical colors.

Some of the ingredients above, like sodium lauryl sulfate, dry out your skin. It is easily absorbed into your body, butyour liver has trouble metabolizing the chemical. Therefore it will remain in your system for long periods of time.

Review:

Fundamental Face Scrub consists of all natural ingredients that is chemical free and doesn’t irritate sensitive skin. It smells of a fresh mint and leaves a refreshing feel after you wash it off. I’m personally not a fan of mint, so if you don’t like mint you may not like this product. However, the spearmint oil is for relaxing your facial muscles (YES OUR FACE HAS MUSCLES!) and the mint extract soothes your skin.

This face wash does not dry out my skin, just as promised. Plus, the little acne that I had on my face (due to stress) has been clearing up.

I suggest you order it from EarthTurns as I am thoroughly impressed with their speedy delivery.

Do yourself a favor and enrich your skin with natural ingredients.

P.S. Do not feel the need to rid yourself right away of ALL your unnatural products. I had a frantic “OH NO” session after reading about all the harmful ingredients in my products. One step at a time :]

Effortless Weightloss?

Some tips to help you lose weight effortlessly.

  1. Drink a glass of water right when you wake up. (NOT tap water)
  2. Eat a big breakfast. (try to stick fo organic foods…)
  3. Drink 8 glasses of water daily.
It will flush the toxins from your fat cells. Absolutely needed for losing weight.
  4. Walk for at least 1 hour nonstop daily.
    You’ll see a difference in a month.
  5. Do not eat after 6 PM.
  6. Eat more fibers to help cleanse your colon like brown rice, cabbages, etc (ask mum)
  7. AVOID ASPARTAME or ANY artificial sweeteners.
This includes high fructose corn syrup.
  8. AVOID MSG. (monosodium glutamate)
MSG is an excitotoxin. It makes you fat, causes medical problems, and can affect your mood making you depressed. It can also be physically addicting, like aspartme (NutraSweet/artificial sweetener), and actually MAKES YOU HUNGRIER.
  9. Absolutely no diet sodas or diet food. Also physically addicting and makes you fat.
  10. No fast food or chain restaurants.
You can actually eat french fries and cheeseburgers and lose weight, if all the ingredients are organic. Processed food have added chemicals that makes you physically addicted.
  11. Cook with organic raw sugarcane/organic flour. No white sugar or white flour. They are also physically addicting. If you must, white sugar is still better than artifical sweeteners.
  12. Eat organic apples! (meat, poultry, and fish also)
  13. Limit dairy products…try to avoid pasteurized or homogenized products. Stick to organic. Otherwise they will have growth hormone in them and slow your weight loss.
  14. Add hot peppers…spicy will increase your metabolism and make you burn fat quicker.
  15. Drink organic apple cider vinegar. It eliminates fat cells.
Recipe: 1 cup of hot water 1 TBS apple cider vinegar
  16. CHEAT whenever you want.
If you choose to indulge, absolutely enjoy it and be happy. Do not feel guilty or bad about it. But of course try to stick to organic if possible..If you worry about it, that worry may make you gain more weight than if you don’t worry about it.

Josie Maran: Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation:

With the change in the weather, I had to find a new foundation that doesn’t dry my skin out or over moisturize my combination facial skin.

Josie Maran’s Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation does just that.

Not only does it leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated (you still need to hydrate your skin well before. Maintenance is key!), but it also changes to match your skintone. For asian skintones, I really recommend this brand of foundation.

It is a liquid foundation, costs $42, but lasts a LONG TIME and it utilizes organic argan oil that benefits your skin in the long run. And..there’s sunscreen in it too. :] Get it!!! You won’t regret.

Love it ^.^
